admin The chairman Governing council of Federal college of education Kontagora, Professor Francis Adedayo Faduyile has been nominated as chairman for this year’s International T.eachers day celebration by the colleges of education Academic staff union( COEASU)in Abuja.
In the letter of nomination signed by the General secretary of the union,Dr Bazza Lawan,the nomination of professor Faduyile as the chairman of the occasion was based on his distinguished academic career,unblemished leadership record and sustained contributions to the growth of Nigerian educational sector over the years.
In his capacity as the chairman, professor Faduyile will coordinate the entire program and confer awards to distinguished students of the colleges of education with a Zonal award recepient getting a cash reward of five hundred thousand naira while the Overall best student of the Federal colleges of education in.Nigeria will receive one million naira cash.This role will be in addition to delivering an opening address at the event.
The minister of education,Professor Tahir Mamman will declare the ceremony open in his capacity as the special Guest of honour.
There will also be a paper presentation on the Theme: Valuing Teacher voices in Teacher education, Reform and management by the past Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria ( TRCN),Professor Josiah Ajiboye.
