Zhao Dong, President of SINOPEC

Zhao Dong is the Board Director and president of SINOPEC Group.

He holds a PHD degree in Petroleum Engineering Management from China University of Petroleum.

Before his recent elevation, Zhao Dong had served as Deputy chief accountant of China Petroleum Exploration and Development company in 2005 before rising to chief accountant in June 2008.He later served as Deputy General manager of the Petrol China Nile Company and in 2016, he was promoted as the chief accountant of SINOPEC Group.

In June 2022, Zhao Dong got another promotion as the General Manager of SINOPEC before succeeding Yu Baocai as president of the company on 30th April 2024.

SINOPEC is a Chinese oil and gas enterprise based in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is owned by the China state owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation operates a publicly traded subsidiary called SINOPEC and it is listed in Hong Kong and Shangai stock exchanges.

China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation is the World’s largest oil refining conglomerate state-owned enterprise and second highest revenue company in the world behind Walmart, America’s top flying revenue generation company.

Founded February 25th 2005, SINOPEC deals with fuels, natural gas, lubricants and petrol chemicals.

John W. Ketchum, CEO of NextEra Energy

John W. Ketchum is the chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Nextera Energy, a leading clean energy company. He was named president and CEO in March 2022, and he became the chairman of the board of directors in July 2022.

John Ketchum joined NextEra Energy in 2002 and had served the company in various capacities. He was once the president and chief executive officer of Nextera Energy Resources, a competitive clean energy supplier and the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and a world leader in battery storage.

John Ketchum holds a masters of law degree in taxation and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Law, where he was managing editor of the law review.

He is also a graduate of Arts degree in Economics and Finance. Mr John W. Ketchum has also completed the emerging CFO—Strategic Financial Leadership programme at Standford University.
