C. S. Lewis, the renowned British novelist and poet, once famously said, “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” These words hold true for a remarkable individual who has accumulated valuable knowledge and experience in road safety and has chosen to set up a driving and safety consultancy in order to offer top-notch services to his clients, for skillfully trained drivers. Mr. Lekan Morakinyo may not be able to change where and how a driver learnt to drive, but he is determined to help individuals and organizations train their drivers so that they can become better road users, with a positive impact on society. The CEO of Providence Driving and Safety Consultancy was born on August 21, 1963, at Minna, in Niger State. He attended Baptist Grammar School, Igbaja, Kwara State. He was at the Polytechnic Ibadan briefly for a 2-year National Diploma Programme (ND) in Mass Communication, from where he left for Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, for his BSC in Psychology, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for his Masters degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
He got enlisted as Assistant Route Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, in 1992.
