When the Psalmist penned down those words as found in Psalms 124:1-8, they were words filled with gratitude and appreciation, acknowledging that long life, good health, and, above all, protection all come from Him.
And so it was that those words resonated with deep significance in the life of Mama Christiana Modupe Ajibola, who recently turned 100 years of age—making her a rare species of centenarians, because we do not get to see many.
A firm believer and committed family woman, Mama Ajibola holds close ones around her, never too busy nor distant to celebrate birthdays and milestones.
No wonder every one of her close and extended family members, friends, associates, church members, acquaintances, and in-laws all trooped out in shades of green and gold, the celebratory colors of the day, to rejoice with her.
Mama had given out so much love, and now it was payback time; she received a full measure of it, wonderful cherished moments and huge outpourings of love.
Surely, this is a testament to the fact that a teacher’s reward is not only in heaven but also here on earth.
